Walter, a very interesting suggestion. Thanks for taking the time to create the edited image. I'll give it a try. |

I too like the shooting angle and fine DOF. I would prefer that the background (sky) be lighter and that the blotchiness in the upper part of the sky be cloned out. |

What a beautiful image! Sharp from front to back. I love the composition - with the church to the left of center on the power point (where the tic-tac-toe lines intersect) - and it makes such a difference. Good cropping, taking out the left side and the lower row of flowers. Great timing on the sky and the flowers. And your processing is excellent.
Camera note: My Panasonic ZS-100 does not give me the luxury of F11 (it only goes to F8). The F11 worked well for you here. |

Beautiful orchid. I agree with Mohanan's comment about the colors. You might consider leaving in the 4 yellow leaves that are below the flower. That would fill in a little more of the negative space - with graceful curves. |

I did not think about cloning out the table lamp, but now I think it's a good idea. It's in the way. Thank you. And I will add a border. |

A very striking and lovely almost-black-and-white. The rippling water behind the birds gives the feeling of motion to the birds gliding along. Great reflections in the water. Beautifully composed.
The feathers on the back of the front bird seem a little less sharp, but that's to be expected with a shallow depth of field.
My photography teacher always emphasizes "separation" between the objects in the photo, and I wish there was a little separation between the top of the front bird's head and the bird behind. The top of the front head is a little backlit, and perhaps increasing the strip of backlighting will give that separation. |
