Kurtis, I would never think you are being argumentative asking for a reason for what I wrote. Art likes flipping photos. His reason I believe, is that we read from left to right and therefore photos should bring your eye into the photo from left to right. I understand his thinking but I don't necessarily agree all the time. I have a hard time seeing "my photo" or any of "my photos" flipped just because I didn't take the shot that way. Am I wrong, maybe.
I love what I saw before I took this photo and I love how I captured it. You are right, it is not needed to be flipped and I shouldn't have told Art "Of course you are right", but I think Art was giving me a "different look" and a different look is what I got.
I already printed this photo and it's hanging in my home, and its just how I presented it to you above. I hope this answers your curiosity. |

Of course you are right, it needed to be flipped. Also I like the crop. Thanks for your vision Art. |

Sunandan it looks like the daughter is loving her mother fussing over her. Nice photo with great bright colors. |

Sylvia, I haven't been lucky enough to be in Venice yet, still on my bucket list. I think you did a really great job toning down the buildings and the brightness around all the railings. I'm not sure I would flip it. Nice photo Sylvia.

Kurtis I can't believe how you "saved " this photo. I would have tossed it for sure. How you did what you did is fantastic. I love seeing the bluebirds and the waxwings together. Looks like there are very few berries left. Well done. |

I love that you took the time to shoot this Gabriele. A really fun shot to remember just where you were. I do like how Kurtis blurred behind the scene. Very nice. |

Regine, I actually like your original best with no changes at all. The three bands of color from the rays of the sun brings my eye right to the gull as if its being lift up a little from the sunshine. Great shot. |

Kurtis, I am so happy to hear that you were busy with club judgings. How wonderful for you to have that opportunity to judge others work. I guess that's why I missed your judging my photos so much.
Now for my photo... I love what you did but truthfully the only thing that stands out to me is the "mid-tone brightness to the whole image. I still have sooo much to learn, but doing what you did with the brightness made the water turquoise and everything just pops. Now I will try my best to do the same effects on my computer. Thank you for your input. |
