Great capture Tom. Looking at the way the snake is wrapped around the neck it amazes me that the snake loses. I mean it looks like it could strangle the Great Blue any second. Well done. |

Kurtis, a nice capture and final image. I think you did a great job editing this photo from what you had. Beautiful reflection and great color. I think Arts flip works well for this photo. Well done Kurtis.

Sunandan this is a great montage and a great story. I am guessing this is an older women remembering her past? Or maybe a grand daughter remembering someone lost? Either way the story of the past is beautifully put together. I would love to see the size of the hourglass larger and lightened up a bit to show it better. Nicely done.

Sylvia, poppies are one of my favorites as well but I am not sure if I ever saw an orange poppy before. I thought all poppies are red. You captured it well and your editing made it great. I think Art adding a little contrast brought out the lines in each petal. Well done Sylvia.

You amaze me Art. I would never have visualized what you were able to come up with. Its just a table and chairs for pete's sake, yet you made it into FINE ART. I sure hope you have entered this into many contests. Beautiful Art! |

Regine, this is an amazing shot. I love everything you did to the original and I wouldn't change a thing. The colors are beautiful. You took a deary city and you made it POP. Well done and well edited.

HI Gabriele! It is so great to hear from you and good to know nothing will keep you away. I am still sending prayers for your speedy recovery.
I would love to know what the squiggly lines are from? I think Art's crop makes it better just by bringing my eyes right to the people. And yes, Regine, it certainly does look like the Cathedral is on Fire.

Regine thank you for your wonderful comments. I do appreciate hearing when I do get it right!
I replied to Kurtis with the "how to" so please try it and let me see what you get also.
Thanks again. |

Thank you so much for your comments Kurtis. Of course its the colors that are jumping out. No melting needed. I took a small box of crayons, peeled off the paper wrappings, threw them into an unbreakable drinking glass that had a wavy pattern on the outside. That's it.
All these great comments made me get out my crayons again. If this inspired you please show me what you come up with.

Thank you Art for your comments. The flip works very well. I like the dark color on the bottom. And your adjustments are right on. |

Hi Tom! Incredible shot. The colors are just gorgeous. I love that beach but I never came away with anything close to this. I love your edit because it brings my eye into the tree and into the ocean and into the orange ball on fire. Wouldn't change a thing. |

Hi Tom, thanks for stopping by.
I think you did a great job editing the photo. I do like the little more room on top, it makes a big difference. Thanks for taking the time to edit.
I think if PSA sold camera straps with "PSA ~ DD Group" on it we would ALL be doing more talking than photographing. But for now I have a new face to look for. LOL.

Thank you Cindy for your comments. I am fighting to make it a portrait just because of them sitting there looking for and waiting for mom to get back. Is that a little crazy? But, I will try it. Yes, it's always a great trip. Thanks.

Hi Steve thank you for your comments. I love that you even mentioned the "decisive moment" with one of my photos. Sounds like I might be doing something right??? Wow! Yes, I do have lots to learn about editing but I try my best to get it right in the camera. Thanks again Steve.

Hi Bruce, thank you for your comments. I'm not sure why this was shot in f11, I think it was left over from the morning sunrise shots and I was still sleepy. You nailed it with your shot and the blurred background makes a big difference. I didn't try to fix my background cause I thought it added to the story a tiny bit, with them looking into the distance to find mom. Not sure why but my untouched original looks sharper than my slightly edited version??? Or maybe its my tired eyes again.
I was there 4-16 to 4-19, and included a side trip to Jekyll Island for sunrise. I think we missed each other by just days. We should try to plan to meet next April or May you could teach me more. Thanks again. |

Jerry, I love your shot. The flip and the water drops and of course the feather detail is fantastic. You did a great job editing to be able to get so much more detail in the tail feathers. Would you share your camera settings?

Sanat, what a beautiful stork. I love its black neck and the patchy body. I do wish you might have moved a little towards the front of the bird to capture more of the face. A side shot maybe. You certainly do show the environment it likes to feed in so that's a big plus but I would leave out the duck also.

Hi Bruce, a fine job capturing this Snow Goose. Your timing was perfect with the mountains to the left and mountains to the right and cropped just enough to get the second goose out of there. Seems like your settings were just right too with very little to edit. You got beautiful detail in the feathers and the wings up high coming in for a landing. Beautiful job Bruce.

Hi Steve,
The beautiful hummingbird. I can never get enough time watching them and just being around them. They are just so magical. You did a great job hand holding your camera to capture this shot. I like the tiny bit of movement in the wings but I might have slowed it down just a little to show more movement, and that of course needs a tripod. And as Cindy mentioned, more sun would add more color. |

Hi Cindy, I happen to love how you caught the light outlining around the wings, tail and the head. I am guessing that is what you were looking for to begin with. You caught a great position and your crop is perfect. Well done. |
