Thank you Sylvia. After this four day trip I need to rest for the next five days. LOL

Sylvia, I was guessing this wasn't for any competitions. I would still hang your edited version on my wall way before my version.

Thank you Kurtis. I am sure you are right that it is a territorial dispute. A great moment to witness.

Thank you Regine for you kind comments. I did shoot this handheld. You should try it at the very least. The hardest part is finding your subjects. |

Thank you Gabriele. I do like the composition that I chose with them both towards the right and one looking to the left. It's interesting that others darkened the background and you added light. |

Thank you Kurtis for your comments. I was shooting shutter priority and in Auto ISO. It was a really hot day and I wasn't really paying attention. I did get separation in the next few photos but I am saving that photo for another day. LOL. I do like your crop. Thank you. |

Sunandan, I would love to hear more about this photo. If you saw it and photographed it or you envisioned it and created it I think it is a well done piece. |

Art not sure why but I always save you for last when adding my comments.
You surely listened and learned at the zoom meeting for high-key. And then you go ahead and nailed it. And then you go ahead and take it over the top. Can you tell that once again I love what you created. In my opinion this is exactly what was taught and then some. NICE!!! |

Sylvia I love everything you did including the border but maybe it could be a pale green. You did a great job editing the background. I decided to play a little and since you needed to cut off the lower petal I changed it around a bit. I zoomed in and flipped it and made it square. But now it is a completely different photo to play with. Nicely done Sylvia. |

Kurtis something must be wrong with my computer. Both your original and the edited version are very pixelated. But I can see that you got some great color birds fighting away. I will assume they are sharp. The composition is perfect. Looks like two different birds, do you know what they are?

What a beautiful spot and you did a wonderful job shooting it and editing it. I do like Art's darker version because of the clarity. Must be a fantastic trip. |

Gabriele, I can only imagine about all that we don't see in your photo. So nicely done. I do appreciate Art's toned down version, its just easier on the eyes. Stunning.

Thank you Charles for sharing your knowledge. I will have to learn how to add the extra space on the left and try harder with the yellow flowers.

Judy I am surprised that you cut off the left petal and left a stem of what appears to be from another flower. Love the dreamy effect and the peachy background. Perfectly sharp on the stamens and pistil. |

So dramatic Charles and I love it. Composition is so perfectly thought out from the stem, not quite in the corner, to the added soft glow behind the bloom. Just beautiful. |

What a pretty flower to come across in the woods. I tried playing with it but what Charles did really shows the individual flowers very well. But, you were looking to show the "mass of color" and I think your original does just that. I would go back and not crop it at all, just maybe clone out the dying flower on the right. Nice capture Ray. |

Kudos to you Dan for most likely kneeling in the snow to shoot 42 images. I can't remember just how long ago it was the last time I saw crocus blooming in the snow. Beautiful memories. But, the brown leaves behind the bright yellow flowers still makes my eyes wonder. One more shovel of snow would have/could have covered them up nicely. I think the square format and a little more snow that Charles worked on works out great. |

Murphy, I love dahlias and I love the colors. In my opinion the two flowers kinda blend together and what Charles did so beautifully, it separated the two flowers brightening and darkening at the same time. I tried B&W but the color version wins for me.

Vincent you have a great eye for creating very interesting photos. Well done. I would have tried to remove the two lower right trees ending up with three supporting trees surrounding the large tree. I vote yes with the sun right where it is.
