Sylvia, I don't agree with the others who removed the photographer. He is a distraction but I love that he is photographing the passengers riding in the carriage who are in fact taking photographs themselves. I thought it brought some humor into this photo that is sometimes hard to get. I do love the softer version of colors that Regine created. Nicely done Sylvia.

Thank you Regine. Over the years I have tried and tried to spot what we call the "Green Flash" but was never lucky enough. One of my photo teachers standing right next to me caught it on two separate occasions but not on my photo. Yes, I do believe a green flash can happen at both sunrise and sunset. But, are you telling me you see a green flash in my photo? I can't see it.
I do agree that this photo is all about the sky and I like the way you deepened the color just a bit. Thank you. |

Thank you Gabriele. I agree it might be too dark on the lower 1/3 but I was not too concerned about below the crepuscular rays. In my mind that was the entire point of this photo. I have never seen crepuscular rays going up before. I guess I should rethink this because both you and Art need it to be brighter or lighter.
Honestly, I would never have thought to use my neutral density filters. I thought they are only used in bright sunlight certainly not used before the sun rises.
And yes Gabriele, I agree the story is worth a million and yes, I will still frame the photo to remind me. |

Art you made some good edits, brightening the colors of the horizon clouds that were rolling is giving it a new twist. But looking closely it appears that something is going on around the clouds as if they were duplicated on top of each other. No big deal, I got the point. Thank you.

Gabriele a trip back to Italy is tops on my bucket list. It is a beautiful country and I would love to see Cordonata del gambero. I will pass on the delicious shrimp. LOL |

Kurtis my first impression was that I didn't like all the background trucks, but reading your story tells me why you have the trucks in the photo at all. Your photo with four great horses running with force and cropped tight makes my eyes go right to the bright green trucks. What Art did kept your trucks in the background but the horses stand out beautifully. I think the crop made a huge difference. Love those racing horses.

Gabriel, I am having a difficult time recognizing what this is. I never would guess that it is a waterfall. It just doesn't look to me that it is going down hill at all, in fact it almost looks like its going up hill. I have no idea of how this could be fixed, if at all.
Okay so now I looked up Cordonata del gambero and can see that the water fall is coming towards you. Now it makes more sense to me and zooming in, getting closer to the beginning of the waterfall makes it look like a waterfall. Still a beautiful photo Gabriel now that I understand it better.

Art once again you created wonderful art with your camera. It is a mystical image like Regine says and I see the pond and buddha statue. Art do you use a tripod while you are moving your camera to create these photos or hand held?
Well done again. |

Regine, I love your story and I love the surprises in nature. You did well with your capture and editing. I just tweaked your edited version by darkening it a bit, removed a little color and added a vignette. Beautiful deer. |

Thank you Vincent for your reply. Everyone is talking about the horizontal line. I am wondering if it is clear that it's a leaf?

Hi Charles,
Do you think that if the background was more visible, showing the leaves and stem better, would that make the difference in this shot? |

Murphy, I love the colors, purple and yellow are just great together and your composition makes me feel that this meadow goes on and on and on which you describe very nicely in your story. Lupine was my mothers very favorite flower and your photograph makes me want to be there to experience it myself. Very beautiful. |

Hi Vincent! In my opinion Cosmos are a very difficult to photograph with them all spread out the way they grow. I think your composition is the best it can be while showing the "steps of life" which I always find interesting. But in my opinion I really like the softer colors of your original. I played with your original by just cropping a little and adding a heavy vignette making your subject pop |
