Gabriel I would never have thought to flip it so thank you again for your vision. Happy Holidays to you as well.

Thank you Sylvia for your comments also. So much to think about from the group and I am learning so many ways to look at my work. |

I certainly do like the softer and darker background Regine and with your crop I can understand your reference of Narciccus. Lots of great examples of what could be changed with my photo. Thank you.

Gabriele a flip? I think that's the first time I got a flip from you and not Art.
Thank you for your version and I do actually like the flipped version and it looks like you might have darkened it a bit too. Thanks. |

Thank you also Art. I would need a much prettier bird for me to crop this close but I certainly understand your thoughts. LOL. |

Thank you Kurtis for your version. I understand the changes you made bringing out the subject much better. The only thing that was bothering me in my photo was the orange reflections in the background and you took care of that too. Thanks.

Pretty bird and nice capture Sylvia. I really like your crop but it has a little too much yellow for me. I do like what Gabriele did to make the Carolina Wren really stand out. I guess you will have babies to photograph real soon.

Kurtis nice catch! Lovely crop with keeping the woods that she lives in surrounding her. I think you might have added a touch of too much red on the body and face that I would prefer be lighter. Well done.

Perfect title Art. I don't know what you did and how you did it but I really like it. You certainly have a vivid imagination and this work shows it perfectly. Well done! |

Oh my gosh! What a beautiful shot Regine. I love love love all the layers of colors and textures. I love what you highlighted to make the foreground pop and the spots in the mountains pop and than the light in the sky pop. I wouldn't change a thing. Well done. |

Gabriele I understand you wanting to keep the color that you saw that day but in Art's version I can see the body of this little guy a little better which I can hardly see in your shot. It's still a wonderful capture and nicely done. |

Thank you Vincent and your right next year seems so far away. I am off to Trader Joe's to see what flowers I can find. |

Murphy thank you for your comments. Do you have any suggestions what I did wrong to not have the inner parts sharp? |

Thank you Charles. You're right I messed up cutting off the last petal and this bloom deserves more brightness. Next year I hope. |

Thank you Dan. I will work on getting deeper into the bloom and learning how to correct the flatness.

I love your colors of fall with such a great deep blue sky. I think the square format works very well and I wouldn't change it. I keep hearing rules are meant to be broken. But sharper would be great. Nicely done and kudos for getting on your back to create your vision Vincent. |

Murphy another beautiful image. The colors are incredible and what a great idea using gold reflectors. Sharp all the way and the darkened background made the flowers pop.
I didn't think about the numbers of blooms until reading the comments. I do agree most times odd is better than even but your six blooms have a nice flow. But if you must take one bloom out I would remove the bottom left that would result in a nice curved "S" shape. FANTASTIC! |

Charles I love what you created here. I find my best "different" flowers in Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. I love the Calla Lily color and using felt is a great idea. Your terrific placement of the lily allowed to see the tip of the stamen in the reflection with the lighting just where it should be. A terrific vision well done. |

Dan its hard to believe this is lichen which in my mind is a good thing. I kept looking at it and looking at it. I love the colors and with the water drop inside it really sparks my curiosity. Charles did a great crop but I played with my version a little to darken it as if it was more in the woods. Great find to photograph for sure. I look forward to the next several months. |

Judy I do like your composition but I might have kept the left petal in the photo. I am just curious to know if the original flower white? I would also like the background a little darker for more contrast. Nice.
