33 Mar 17 Reply Hello Lloyd, thank you for the Canadian welcome, planning to visit your beautiful country next year. I like your observations and suggestions, yes, that arm will look better toned down a bit. I hadn't really noticed that hump in the blouse but now that you have mentioned it, it really leaps out and smacks me in the eye! Fixing that will be a big challenge for me! LOL! Thanks Lloyd Mar 15th
33 Mar 17 Reply Hello Paul, thanks for the welcome. I like the points you have made re breaks in the horizon, I have never considered that before. Will go back and play with the original image again - it has plenty of space around the edges. 😊 Mar 13th
33 Mar 17 Reply Hi Judi, thanks for the welcome and your feedback. Yes, it would have been wonderful if the baby had looked towards me - we all hope for the perfect random shot when doing street/event photography don't we. 😊 Mar 11th
33 Mar 17 Comment Hello Paul, a lovely image of a heritage chapel in a gorgeous peaceful setting. Was it captured during Golden Hour in the Autumn (Fall)?
I agree with Larry's suggestion of highlighting the Chapel, and then perhaps that strong strip of light in the foreground and the very bright blue sky could be toned down a little so that the eye stays in the centre of the image around the Chapel, the lovely light and shadows to its left and the glorious autumn trees. 😊

33 Mar 17 Comment Hello Bob,
A special image for your memories of your much loved Mum and that wicked Harley. Sounds like one heck of a road trip!
Do you use LightRoom? If so, I wonder how this image would look if you added some contrast - I think it is too "soft" for the Harley which is the focal point - to me, a Harley brings up thoughts of wickedness, strength, power, adventure, edginess. I feel the sky doesn't contribute to the image - could add some storm clouds or maybe crop it out and maybe reduce the saturation as the very green grass in the foreground grabbed and held my eye.
I'm sure there is another Harley out there with your name on it, Bob, may you chase the wind forever! 😊

33 Mar 17 Comment Hey Elisabeth, great news about your house!
This is a lovely landscape, very different to the landscapes we have down here in NZ.
I like the way the light comes in from the left - goes across the mountains, the trees in the middle and also the grasses in the foreground. There seems to be something odd on the mountains just right of the centre of the image, a sort of reddish/brown blotch. I feel the image would be enhanced by cropping between the trees on the right - I find that extra piece of mountain, the snow on it and the tree on the far right drawing my eye away from the centre of the image. 😊

33 Mar 17 Comment Hi Judi, Astro shots are always challenging - do we just emphasise the Milky Way and sky and leave the foreground undefined or do we add definition to the foreground?
To me, the image is too cluttered - you have done a great job with making the sky your main focus but the foreground looks very noisy , so I would probably crop this image right back to the base of the mountain - this would definitely accent the sky and the mountain would become more of a feature - almost a lead-in line to the Milky Way.
A nice image, Judi, well done you 😊

33 Mar 17 Comment A nice image, did you crop the image or was it shot in Portrait? Mar 10th
