Agree with most of Cindy and Sarah's suggestions. But I wonder if a severe crop from the left, making the image a vertical, would make for a better center of interest by giving much greater emphasis to the daisies and clouds. |

I'm amazed at the sharpness of this image at 1/50. It really sells the photograph for me. A viewer can almost sense the sure grip of the mallet and the pressure of the blacksmith's fingers as he grips the tongs. I'm in Cindy's camp on darkening the background. Nice job! |

Very nice image but I agree with Cindy -- I find the original more interesting. I also live in the D.C. area but have never been to Kenilworth Gardens. I'll have to check it out. |
