I composed the image the way I did to try to create a sense of the Lost Cause Stonewall Jackson represented, using the sky and the distant Blue Ridge Mountains to do so. But I take Cindy's point. Cropping out one of the cannons to move the statue off center does make for a more powerful photograph. |
