Hello Donna,
What a great image! I like your choice of black and white. Great suggestion made to delete the birds from the edges.

Great capture of this lovely water lily. I agree the use of a polarizer would
have eliminated the glare on the leaves. |

David, I enjoyed reading how you converted you Helios lens. I converted my Helios lens also. Like you, I watched quite a few videos before attempting to reverse the lens element. I had an "oops" moment when doing it... When I finally was able to get the lens element off, somehow I turned the whole lens upside down and I ended up with most of the inside parts of the lens on the table! I was able to put it all back together... I really like my Helios lens.
Your image is unique... I love the effect of the Helios on the background. The snowdrops were a perfect subject. |

Happy New Year, Barbara! Hard to believe you have had this plant for 35 years. It looks so healthy. You did a great job with the light painting. You selected a great subject to light paint. I like how Dick cloned and cropped the image on the left side. I agree with Dick, the upper right leaf is a little too bright and needs to be toned down a bit. |

This was a difficult shot, Dick. You captured it well. The upper half of the background is a little bright. I would darken it a bit to make the skunk cabbage pop. |
