10 Dec 24 Reply Thank you, Peter. I appreciate your positive comments. Dec 15th
10 Dec 24 Reply Thank you Donna. This dahlia is from garden. My dahlia bulbs are all in storage now. We just had a couple of very cold days. It went down to 11 degrees! Can't wait to start planting my dahlias again! Dec 15th
10 Dec 24 Comment Hi, Meredith, this is a beautiful flower. You captured it well. Great detail and color. Donna and Peter have given you some good suggestions. Dec 15th
10 Dec 24 Comment Nice capture. I wonder what that squirrel is eating? Nice clarity and detail. I agree with Donna and Meredith. The image is too bright. Dec 15th
10 Dec 24 Comment Doug, very creative! Very abstract. You have really been developing you style. I like it! Dec 15th
10 Dec 24 Comment Hi, Rich. Your picture brings back so many fond memories of when I use to visit my son in NYC. They use to live on 42th next to the Hudson and early Saturday mornings I would see the cruise ships on the Hudson. I like your picture. You captured NYC! I also like Donna's editing. Dec 15th
10 Dec 24 Comment Impressive, Mark! Hard to believe it was take with an iPhone! Great clarity and detail. Dec 15th
10 Dec 24 Comment Donna, nice capture using the LB 56. I like how you were able to get the front petals in focus. Donna, I would lower the opacity of the texture a bit and clone a little of the texture on the upper right side where too much blue is showing. Dec 15th

I always have a Lensbaby in my camera bag.

65 Dec 24 Reply Thank you David. I learn so much for your suggestions. I agree, the sharp vertical lines are distracting. They need to be cloned out. I was trying to get the petals closest to me in focus. I probably should have used a smaller aperture, maybe f16. Dec 15th
65 Dec 24 Comment Great composition and detail. Maria,I always find hibiscus difficult to photograph. You have captured it well. It is beautiful. I agree, you have to frame it! Dec 15th
65 Dec 24 Comment Indeed, Jimsom weed is quite toxic and invasive. The light is quite harsh in this image which creates dark shadows. Part of the flower is behind behind the leaves... It is a good record shot, like David wrote. Dec 15th
65 Dec 24 Comment Barbara, I like how you merged the two images. By merging the two images you were able to get a very nice blurred background. The center of your flower is sharp and rest of the flower has that Lensbaby soft look. David has given you some nice edit suggestions.
I am going to try merging two images when photographing my flowers.

65 Dec 24 Comment Great minimalist image. Great background. The colors of the sky are perfect. If you leave the moon in the image, it give it a point of focus. I like the plant with the moon and without the moon.

65 Dec 24 Comment Outstanding! Great detail and clarity. You focus placement is perfect! You were able to get all the mushrooms in focus and also the leaves in the foreground. Well done. Dec 11th
