10 Oct 21 Reply Hello Donna, Dahlias are one of my favorite flowers to photograph. I buy the Dahlia tubers in early Spring from our garden center. The garden section at Home Depot has them also in early Spring for sale. Last year, I order the tubers in Fall from Swan Island Dahlias in Canby Oregon. They will mail them to you in early Spring. They have a wonderful variety. You can google Swan Island Dahlias for more details. I usually select by the size of flower and color I want, but this year I found out I have to pay attention to the height of the plant also. I plant them in early Spring and they start blooming around the end of July-August-September. They require a sunny area. They are delightful! In Fall, I dig out the tubers and save them in the basement in brown paper paper with some peat moss for Spring. Sometimes, this works. I usually just buy new tubers. Hope this helps. I plan on planting more dahlias next year along with cosmos and zinnias! I buy the dahlia flowers from outdoor markets also. Oct 27th

10 Oct 21 Comment Rich, I hope you post your sunrise image. Do you AirDrop you images to your computer from your iPhone or do you have them on the iCloud. My images on my iMac are not on the cloud so I AirDrop my images from my iPhone to my iMac. I then take them from my Downloads and import them into Lightroom. Our iPhones really take nice pictures and there are so many Apps to explore. Oct 25th

10 Oct 21 Comment Doug, I like the black and white version. You did a nice job converting the image to black and white. I had to send my camera to get checked because I dropped it a couple of months ago and I still trying to reset all my setting... Oct 25th
10 Oct 21 Comment Great capture. I like the flight pattern. The pelicans have nice detail. Not an easy shot... I am practicing taking pictures of birds in flight. Not easy. Nice, Donna. Oct 25th
