I felt the photo shows the barn really is out in the middle of nowhere, with the vast hilly and mountainous landscape. It almost gives the eye the impression as hard to even be found unless someone was looking for it. I like the the colors of the white snow and brown hills around it. I thought the angle was very good with the barn being almost centered with all the landscape. |

I like how the photo shows nature as taking over what is man made and, for me, what I think about when I think of an abandoned building. I also always feel these are harder to take because of all the vegetation forcing the eye to move around so much. I also like the tall trees in the background. It is also a great story to go along with it. |

That's an interesting photo, like like condos. I felt the white of the wall gave some good contrast with the black road, and the blue sky really tied it together for color. |

My eye first looked at the photo thinking it was some very old castle long abandoned. I never would've guessed it was a business at one time. I felt the red brick and circular towers really told a story. With the caps on the roofs protecting it that structure could be there a very long time.
I felt the polarizing filter really helped the photo and a good choice for it. |

To me, upping the saturation helped the photo. I like how the white of the sign brings out the colors of the grass/weeds, and also see the reflection of the sign in the window. I felt the picture may have been at a different angle, as it would be hard to tell it was abandoned. The original sign definitely showed it but the lawn was moved !
Personally, I always surprised that restaurant buildings go up for sale but still show the original restaurant sign. :) |
