Ian, I can just see that you are enjoying retirement and the new surroundings that you've been sharing with us over the last several months. As others have said I like the peacefulness, serenity and the beauty of this scene.
I did do a little cropping from the right side to bring the disappearing point to the 1/3 point vertically in the middle horizontally. I also added a bit of a bin yet to keep the eye focused down the path. Keep sending more shots like this! Happy holidays to you and your family. |

Very nice shot Bill. I've recently purchased an iPhone 17 Pro, but have not had a real chance to use it to make this kind of image in comparison. I really like the colors, the structure and the details, especially the details at the front of the church. These make photography so much easier and spontaneity. I did take the liberty of removing the small portion of the last pew on the right as it was a bit of distraction in the corner. Thanks for sharing. |

Great timing on the shot. Well balanced top to bottom. Good camera setup to get the right light and details in the gator. |

This is the perfect example of picture that can be cropped to perfection. For me the details you were able to bring out in the "monster" were incredible. My eye keeps dwelling on what appears to be the under throat as well as the claws of each of the front feet. One of the many traits of a good image is it makes the viewer stop and ask themselves "what is this?" Again this is what this did to me. Nicely done! |

Vella, well done! A very nice image. To me the colors that you have brought in post work, both the saturation and the complementary shades, work well to improve the image. From my experience the "leading line" of the purple and yellow balloons leading in from the lower right corner help to fix my eye on the main subject. If you have a shot from an angle where the bottom lines were straight across (horizontal) this would be perfect. Nice work! |

Erik, I think that the colors and brightness of all layers in the image are well done. To my eye the strengths of this image are the sand art, the near-shore rock formations and (somewhat less) the sky. As Sharon says, "This is where the party is." For me the amount of foreground is a distraction from the true subject of the picture. Knowing that you want to maintain the image format I have cropped mostly from the right and bottom but also a bit from the left. I feel that this VF focuses my eye more where it needs to go. |
