Another really great "portrait type" image. I liked reading all the comments about the two cheeks. Picture-wise, great exposure, nice color. The black mic cord and the black neck chain work perfectly with the background. |

Odd you should mention that. Others (not DD4) have suggested the same. The current version has that upgrade. Good eye! |

Erik, to my eye the colors on this are so good that it looks like a postcard. Also, having never been there and living such a short distance away. It is an area that I think Karen and I would like to visit. Perhaps you and Betty Sue could introduce us the area. I look forward to seeing you and learning from you at Circle B Bar. |

Vella, I am amazed at the detail and sharpness with lack of noise that you got out of crop of this magnitude. Did you use any post-processing Noise reduction software? If you did I would like to know what it was. Also just curious why you didn't use your R5 which my memory tells me you also have. Great colors and great lighting on the hummer. If you decide to enter this in an Open Color Exhibition you might remove the brown and red stems from the background. Nicely done! |

Guy, I love the strong leading line. It pulls my eye into the scene. As others have said the ship gives this a good sense of scale. Good balance of complementary colors. Just one thing - and I don't know if this is even the case with this image - but I have found in my trip pictures that my post work at times makes the clouds in a cloudy sky tend towards blue and I have had to use White Balance to bring them back.
I am watching Ewan McGregor's current bike trip around Europe. Is this the 7 mile long bridge?
Good shot! |

Bill, you have done an excellent job in post giving this a vintage look. The bent leg of the tank support on the left adds to the feeling. The DoF keeps the viwer's eye solidly on the structures. Thanks for the thought! |

Thanks Guy. Often I try and just don't capture the scene. This time I got lucky. I got off only two shots! |

Ian, thanks for the note and the comments. I downloaded over 1400 images (many exposure bracketing.). Still I have enough that you may be seeing pictures of Scotland and Ireland for quite a while. |

Very nicely done Isaac, and I also love the three Amigos picture as well. This is a classic shot of Mt. Hood and you have captured it well. The stillness of the water (which I couldn't get when I had the same opportunity) has nicely reflected the sky. Good DoF and exposure. |
