Ian, as you have described this looks so peaceful. It seems that you are set to reap many rewards from the fruits of your work career. I agree with the distraction comments and tend towards Isaac's "removal." The foreground ducks and swan add to the image. Perhaps a shot that shows the actual dam, or a portion of it, would further add to the image. Enjoy your retirement and keep sending great. Images. |

Bill, for me pictures of this type always evoke many stories and memories. I like the composition. In the post work I might have added either DxO Color Efex Tonal or Pro Contrast to the helmet as well. To my eye the "scars" on the helmet along with what may be heat-related bubbling of the yellow areas, the swirls in the red on the back of the helmet, and the communications equipment all add to the story. |

Guy, what I really love about this picture, in addition to the crisp colors that Isaac mentioned, is that exquisite detail in the drive mechanism on the lower part of the the locomotive. For me they draw the eyes into that focus point and hold them there. Nice Image! |

Erik, I love this shot because it is so unique. I do not believe in my 10 years in PSA that I've ever seen an image quite like this one. You have sharp eyes and are always looking for these moments. You've done a great job, capturing it. Knowing how hard this is to capture I think it should be a prize winner in a PSA exhibition. It's somewhat sad though that so many judges would throw it out because it's a "butt shot". Keep shooting these unique shots, my friend. |

Vella, when I first looked at this, I was tempted to say that you should have used AI or general remove tools in Photoshop to take out the shadow of the jaguar. However, the more I look at it the more I think it would be very intriguing to use the same tools to strongly enhance the shadow on the background rocks. |

I really like the image with all of the various colors in front of the dark background of the city. These images with someone twirling a light source often to catch and hold my eye as I consider how it was done. I might've cropped it in a little bit left side where there is no Foreground lighting from the spinning iron mesh sponge. Thanks for sharing. |
