Thanks for the feedback. The whites are not blown out on my MacBook but I had a very fine line to work with. Any further reduction in whites or highlights started to create brownish tones in the feathers. |

Awesome, let me know how you like it. Just keep in mind that your maximum aperture is now probably F9 instead of F6.3. There will be times when you have to let your ISO go a bit higher than you have had it, especially early in the morning. Enjoy! |

Really creative from my perspective. I wish that our local Ft. Myers camera club would try something like this. Very colorful and the different sized bubbles, for me, make it more unique. Thanks for continually providing new perspectives on imaging. Keep up the good work. |

Isaac, per your conversation with Vella above, Matt Kloskowski has in the past two months put out some short videos on background masking in LR and how avoid it selecting the things like the strands of fur on the neck and mane of the cats. You could probably find them on YouTube. |

Ian, I always enjoy your pictures of the actors, re-enactors, dancers and others. To my eye the dancers and their colorful outfits should be the fixation point. I felt that , for me, the people in the background were a distraction from that. I used my iPhone with the latest iOS version, the edit feature eraser that is now available (and my pointer finger) to take the observers out of the image. It's not perfect but, for me, I can concentrate on the dancers a bit better. |

Erik, to my eye you have captured this at the right moment of the day. The hoodoos under harsh midday light lose some of their magic. You have gotten this w/o shadows and with color in the sky. I feel that this gives more quality to the image. The stronger background I believe helps take the eye away a bit (in a positive way) from the beautiful but "all the same" hoodoos. Nicely done. |

I just love these old clocks in German cities. They either survived the war or were rebuilt. In 2003 we were in Munich and saw the clock tower there.
Your image is sharp and the colors appear realistic. I wonder if the bigger clock could use a bit more contrast. |

This may be the most interesting "story" picture I have seen in all the years I have been doing DD. I feel so bad for the cross-eyed cat. And I marvel at the love his sibling has for him. I feel that with Guys small fix and your PP work you have a wonderful image. Get some great shots in South America. |

Vella, Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, in nature competition for PSA I cannot take anything out of the image. Yes I am using my extender, just used it yesterday at Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge. Combined with the R5 Canon camera and the 100 500 lens, it is a perfect addition and does not degrade the quality of the image. If you invest in one, let me know what you think of it. |
