Guy, sorry for the delay. I flew out to Tucson on Friday for the PSA Festival this week and have been busy pushing the Shutter button. I feel that you have the key components for an excellent image - the shore, the temple and the stone wall. Of course I cannot tell what isn't in the picture. But to my eye if you could have backed up, allowed the stone wall to run to the corner of the image and moved the temple to the 1/3rd point it would have, again to my eye, felt more balanced.

I really appreciate your portrait capability. As Guy mentioned, you did an excellent job with capture conditions, notably the fill flash. To my eye the contrast on the final really gives nice depth to the image. One small tweak might be to lighten her irises just a bit to distinguish that hazel color from the black eye shadow. Very nicely done! |

Isaac, I feel that you have captured a unique moment and image - at least for those of us not acquainted with life outside of "1st world" countries. To me the look on the child's face gives meaning and emotion to the image. I do feel that you could add to this if the original image could be cropped less and show him on the sidewalk near a street. Great street photography shot. |

I'm jealous!! I have always wanted a Black Skimmer shot like this one. Your timing and your talent obviously (again) exceed my own. For me I appreciate the way you have cropped this with the lines out of the diagonal. I believe this is a "money" shot. I want to shoot Black Skimmers with you even more. Hope to next year! Let's get together in Tucson. Please call me when you arrive. |

Vella, I will echo Isaac's comment. It is astounding what a good camera (R5) can yield even with a significant crop. I believe you made a good choice of camera settings. To my eye your high shutter speed stopped the wings nicely and the f/7.1 yielded a nicely blurred background. Well Done! |
