Vella, that was a very good and useful explanation. Thanks for explaining to me exactly what they're doing. With the joint replacement information I have a better appreciation for what they are going through. Thanks so much! |

Guy, I really like the complementary colors in the Picture as well as the shallow depth of field, which makes the flower stand out against the soft background. Both very good strengths in my opinion. Looking closely at the pedals, for my taste, I would sharpen some more. I know that you use ON1 so I would suggest perhaps boosting the dynamic contrast of just the flower petals. To my eye, this would bring out the edges of each pedal as well as some of the striations within each. Thanks for sharing. |

Ian, sorry to hear about your back. That can be among the hardest problems to deal with so I hope you're healing quickly.
I go to the YMCA frequently to lift weights so I may try to time it again with that class. I think it might be interesting to get one with no empty seats if I can. Take care. |

Erik, this is a very compelling nature shot. I love to see the interaction of the parent with the chicks, but would always draw my eye is the looks on the chicks faces. You have captured that perfectly. From your experience can three of these chicks survive to fledging from the nest? Can the parents feed three of them successfully? Thanks for sharing. |

Ian, nice capture. For me all of the spray behind the boat really helps make the picture. It just says there's speed there. The colors work well to make for a pleasing shot. These races are always fun. It looks like you got into a good place for a great picture. I would love to have been there with you. |

Bill, I like the monochrome here as it really makes white sink stand out. To my eye the vertical lines of the bars on the windows also help lead my eye to the sink. Your post work seems to have nicely covered the tonal range. Well done! |

It just takes a little patience. There were once two palm trees in front of this building. I removed them one palm frond at a time. |

Isaac, I think you choose great settings to absolutely stop the image. When I first looked at the image I thought they were posing. But when I looked closer and saw the beads of sweat flying through the air I knew that it was true boxing. For 4500 ISO you also did a great job with the deNoise. Nicely done. |

Vella, In addition to Isaac's comments I would add that if you were to use this in a PSA Monochrome exhibition I would suggest diligently removing the grasses in from of the zebras. To me that would present a very appealing Monochrome image. |

Thanks Isaac. Do you think this qualifies as PJ? |
