Bill, regarding the "slight merger in the bottom," can you tell me more and is it something I need to fix? Thanks. |

Guy, my eye likes the bright colors. To me you did a great job leading the surfers into the image. I agree that Isaac's crop removes neutral space and helps even more to focus my eye on the subjects.
I hope that back gets better soon. |

When I did it years ago, with a film camera, and I'll be in a much slower vehicle, I did use a tripod and kept the ball head loose so that I could pivot with the car as it came by. I'm not sure you'll get a better result, but you might think about giving it a try. |

Bill, I would love to have been in your informal workshop. Not only to see what you were doing and how, but also to have a good bourbon with you and the guys. Maybe next year!
To my eye you did a wonderful job turning this into a portrait. It looks like something an 18th Century patriot would have hung above his fireplace. Nicely done. |

Isaac, I applaud the effort. These are difficult to do. I have had some success withSoap Box Derby, a much slower moving vehicle but never tried anything this fast. Just wondering if you tried this on a tripod with only the vertical stabilizer (if Nikon has that) active on the lens. I would be curious to know more about your thoughts, what you tried, etc.
In the meantime I put the image into PS, selected all but the car and applied horizontal motion blur. I stopped before the letters on the back wall became a total blur. Here is what I got. |

Ian, great shot. I love the story. (Pretty sure they aren't twins!) To my eye this is a very good exposure - very sharp with well controlled highlights and shadows. The background isn't the greatest and I am sitting here wondering what it would look like if you did what Bill Buchanan did with his image this month?? This might really bring total focus to the dancers. I always enjoy your creativity! Keep at it! |

Vella, this is a very pleasing image and to my eye you did a nice job with your choice of post-processing crop. I will agree with Isaac that as I see it there is some over-saturation - notably reds in trees where little to none existed in the original. I believe that Isaac has reached a good mid-point on that saturation in his visual feedback. |

Erik, it is truly amazing when an image comes out of the camera the is pleasing to the eye. I love the pastel colors that appear in this image. To me the presence of the small private plan and the power boat in the water add nice touches to the image. I would wager that this would look great on canvas. |

Very Nice Image Terry. A spot I don't believe I have seen. Where in the park did you capture this gem? |
