Thanks, Craig, for your input. At the end of the day, it is probably the eye of the individual beholder that determines and there is no end to editing possibilities. |

The science is that the chlorophyll in the leaves absorbs light in the red (long wavelength) and the blue (short wavelength) regions of the visible light spectrum. Green light is not absorbed but reflected, making the plant appear green. With an infrared filter, however, the visible light spectrum is not visible! Hence, vegetation appears white, rather than green.
I could/should have reduced the brightness of the foliage. Thanks, Melanie, for drawing my attention to this - now for future reference. |

Thanks, Jack, for your input. I did actually try something akin to what you suggest but it didn't work for me. Food for future thought, nonetheless. |

I suspect, Gary, that there is no end to editing possibilities . . .
I even have some ideas for playing further with this image but will not follow up now as I have some 2,000 images to sort, cull and edit from our June trip! |

Hi Palli,
I appreciate your input but do, however, think that you lose something, e.g., detail in the faces of the kayakers.
I do see the problem and would like to play around with various approaches to resolving it.

Hi Jack,
My first chance to welcome you.
I have played around with your interesting image and attach the result (which I expect you will not exactly care for!).

Just love Chihuly! He's had exhibitions here, including one, if I'm not mistaken, on the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem. We have also visited his base in Seattle, near the Space Needle.
But Dale Chihuly glass without color! - sorry, just doesn't work for me. |
