Thanks. I have darkened the makeup as you suggest but cloned the skulls out. |

Thanks for your comment Pete. I think all the little "nits" are important because once you notice them, they can become very annoying. |

Thanks for your comment Sophia. I submitted the full image to see if the group thought it should be cropped. I have another image which I have cropped and prefer. |

Barbara the dark blueish part you see is in fact part of the bat which is connected to the basket, the light part that looks like skin is the end of the bat handle. I have cloned this out but not the handle (which perhaps I should). |

Great image. I think cloudy landscapes like this are often better than with a blue sky and this is true for your image. Personally, I am not a great fan of square images of landscapes and in this case I think the sky is competing with the land and sea for our attention. I would crop some of the sky, darken it and, as Pete suggests, lighten the area around the boat. |

Like the others I agree it is a fabulous image. No suggestions for improvement. |

There is a good leading line from the left hand side to the temple which I think is positioned perfectly on the RHS. The tree next to the temple adds much to the picture. I agree with Pete about lightening the temple. I also think the image could be improved by cropping from the bottom. Does the blue sky pull our eyes from the temple? I'm not sure which is why I would like to see the original. Overall, a very pleasing image. |

You have caught the horse at a great moment with its front feet in the air and the water splashing. Your focus is spot on. I like Pete's version best. Whichever version you choose the horse and rider are too close to the centre for me. I would either crop a little from the right or crop less from the left. |

I think your still life images are very creative. Quite simple but effective. Only 3 objects but I wouldn't know where to position them. One thing I have noticed is that the light appears to be coming from the right, look particularly at the thimble, but you have placed the shadows as if it is coming from the left. In the attached I have flipped the thimble and dodged and burnt the pin cushion to make the light direction and shadows compatible |
