In the attached I have used a levels layer followed by minor adjustments in Luminar AI then slightly desaturated the cyan and finally added a curves layer. To me it looks far more natural. What do you think? |

After you asked for the non textured version I played around and decided I would go with texture but at 50% opacity. After seeing your latest version I will probably rework the 50% version to darken it as you have done. Unfortunately last week I submitted my original version for my local club competition and it is now too late to change. Thanks for your work. |

This is the version without the texture. Which do you prefer? |

An interesting street shot. You have left the correct amount of space for him to walk into and and I think mono was appropriate. Your crop is good. When I look at the image though my eyes are whizzing around the picture. They are first drawn to the model then the writing then the bright "jumper" in the window, the dog and finally his shoes. As Mark says the man blends into the background. |

As Mark says it is a beautiful scene but for me you have over processed it. Could we have a copy of the original to work on? |

I'm not sure what you were trying to achieve with this but for me it has not worked. In addition to Mark's comments, which I agree with, I also find the background doesn't add anything to the model. Also her forehead nose and cheek seem burnt out. |

I think Mark has done an excellent job with the image. With the latest software we can do much more. I am not as keen on Dr V's as, for me, his version is oversaturated. You might consider cropping from the left to take the man from the centre. |

I can understand about the Painterly effect. I only did it to encourage discussion. |

A well spotted image. The path draws us through the image with interest all the way through. I particularly like the two trees on the left hand side. You do seem to have a magenta cast in the image which is easily removed. I would also lighten it up slightly. |

The picture was definitely was worth the walk and the bites. It is a simple and effective image and you have got the boat in exactly the right position and the colours are magnificent. To me you have too much sea in the foreground but if you crop this you also need to crop some from the side. The following shows the crop I would prefer. I have also applied a Topaz "Impression" to it which is a matter of taste but may add to the discussion. |
