Cindy, have you tried using the new Refine Hair tool in Photoshop to cut out the gorilla. If you have not seen it there is a good link here:

A different image. I prefer the mono which has been converted perfectly. Focus is good with sharpness from the reflections to the wall. My only suggestion, for the mono, is to crop the top (to take out what is the blue in the colour version) and the right up to the reflection. |

A very nice image in both colour and mono. It is well suited to portrait orientation. Our eye follows the river up through the picture with interest all the way. You have framed it perfectly and for me your shutter speed is spot on giving interest and detail in the water. I also like the texture in the rocks. Well done! |

I also prefer the mono. I think Cindy's version is a little dark and I would go somewhere between hers and yours. I agree with Chuck that the vignette is a little strong. |

What an interesting picture. You have excellent detail in the face, I particularly like the eyes and mouth. The expression is amazing and he looks nearly human. What spoils it for me is there appears to be a halo around the head. Get this out and for me you have a winner. |

Well spotted. I agree with you about the blue bike in the colour version but you could easily reduce the blue saturation in Photoshop. I like the textures on the wall in the mono version. I think we have 3 pictures here for the price of one. The image that you present, plus I think in another image you could crop out the three bikes and in a third version you could crop out the two bikes as shown below. |
