For me I would take out the wires. I like the detail around the birds beak and eyes. The white feathers beyond this and in the tail look a little burnt out although you may be able to retrieve the detail. Attached is a version of the saw-whet with straps removed. |

I like pictures of churches both colour and mono but usually I prefer colour to mono as is the case with this picture. I like Cindy's crop but think she has overdone the contrast. I would go somewhere between hers and the original. I would clone out the lights in the ceiling as they draw my eyes away from the alter. |

An interesting subject which you have handled well. I like the detail in the abbey and the trees behind. I think the image suits a mono conversion. My only suggestion is to increase the foreground as I think the boat is a little close to the edge either using the original or by cloning. |
