I agree with the others that it is definitely a mono image. I have no suggestions to improve it. |

An interesting subject and perfect for mono. I generally agree with previous comments. I would add that the white line from the top left of the car can be a distraction when you notice it and the light cement on the wall below and to the left of it. I find it difficult not to play with these images in Photoshop so here is my version. |

I think it works well in both colour and mono. To me the mono is about the two men interacting and the tender being loaded. I would clone out or tone down the white triangle on the right hand side. |

As Chuck says your composition is good with the flower stem coming from the bottom left hand corner. You have some great texture and tones in the flower which is ideal for mono. |

The original and Feathers appear to be the same image.
You have caught the bird well and there is plenty of detail in the head and feathers and the background is suitably blurred. I agree with Lorna's comment about the background and I would not have a square format. The bird needs space to fly into. If I was entering this into an open competition I would also clone out the rock at the bottom. |

I like pictures of churches and cathedrals. I think symmetry is subjective and my preference is to be slightly off centre but have lost marks with this in some club competitions. Yours is an excellent picture but for me has a little too much contrast. |

Thanks for your comments Karl. I entered this into a local club competition and the judge criticised it saying that her eyes and mouth were too black and with no detail. I have put it into this months dialogue to see if other members agree with him. Currently 3 of you have made comments without mentioning her eyes and mouth. I have previously entered it into PSA print of the month and the dark eyes and mouth were not mentioned in the judges comments. |
