I think this image will do well in competitions. Your processing as always is to a high standard. I agree with Karl that the refection of the shell in the bottom of the boat could be increased. |

This is s good action shot which was caught at exactly the right time. Personally I would prefer some detail in the vaulter so I could see the expression on his/her face.
I take lots of street photos. I only give people money if they are homeless and they are asking for money. In this case it is not dependant upon them letting me take their picture. Usually I get into conversation with them. In England the weather is a good starting point. Possibly I may then ask them where they are from. With the man in the attached picture I admired his jewellery and asked him where he had got it from. After a few minutes I asked if I could take his photo.
As my pictures are taken in a public place I do not require a model release form and have had no problems with PSA. If it is queried I send a copy of the original image to show it is a public place.

To me this could be a picture of the rice fields and moodiness of the clouds. In which case a colour version may be better. I would be interested to see the colour version. However, it could be a picture about the curves and lines, in which case I think the clouds detract from the image. If I wanted an image of the curves and lines I may try something like the attached. |

To me this image is about textures and is perfect for mono. I agree with Cindy's comments. However I think she has over done it with the contrast. I would go halfway between her image and yours. I find the light area in the right windows distracting and I would clone this out. |

I agree with previous comments that the water comes to an abrupt end. I like the trees on the left hand side and unlike Chuck I would not crop them. However, if you crop the right you get round the problem with the water. I would also add more contrast. |
