I decided to have a last look at peoples' images before the end of the month. I think it would be an improvement to darken or remove the lines particularly the one at the bottom. |

I processed this image to print on Art paper which I find tends to reduce the contrast and I thought the church came out fine. However I think you are right in the digital version and the church is a little too bright. I need two versions. |

I agree with the others. You mention the steps in your description. It's a shame these weren't in the picture. I agree with Paul that the man gives a sense of proportion and adds interest. |

Reading Gordon and Paul's comments raises the question do you want the rose to be centre stage or the phone and rose. My preference would be to add more contrast to the centre. I would leave the vignette and think the peeling paint adds to the story. Whilst writing this I thought it might be worth shooting again but with a dead rose. |

I like both the mono and colour versions. Before reading other peoples comments the first thing I noticed after seeing that it was a good action shot was the lack of space in front of the skater so I agree with the other comments. I would also add a little more contrast |

I like the colour version for the reasons suggested by Paul. I think the problem with the man being out of focus is not as noticeable in the colour version. |

I like both the colour and the mono versions. The lines which lead us from the left to the mountains are good. I think Karl's suggestion of taking away some of the sky adds to the image. To both the colour and mono I would also consider adding more contrast. There is a small patch of white near the lake under the mountains which doesn't appear in the colour version and I would take this out |

I can understand the comments about more contrast but as you suggest you don't want to burn out the light areas. You could consider darkening the dark areas but leaving the lights alone. |
