As well as providing written comments on participants prints the judge awards places and HM's. There is also a league table over the year running from (I think) July to June. There are two sections, Colour and Mono at two levels the higher called Star. Currently Cindy is winning the Colour Star section and I am in second place.

50 May 18 Reply I entered the colour version in "Print of the Month" and hoped it would do well so that I could catch you up in the total points. It gained an HM so I still have a way to go if I am to catch you. Not that I am competitive (honest). I used Art Paper and the judge suggested I use glossy but I had tried that and do not agree with him.

I am working towards 5* in PSA mono and so I am looking for any of my images that will convert and gain acceptances.

50 May 18 Reply This is the second image after working in Lightroom. Note the 3rd figure is added in Photoshop. May 8th
50 May 18 Reply Unfortunately the system will not allow files greater than 1MB, therefore I cannot show you the raw file. Attached is a jpeg taken straight from the original raw file. I will try to attach a further file which shows the initial work I did in lightroom before transferring to Photoshop. May 8th
50 May 18 Comment An interesting lake which I think is well suited to mono. The dead trees give a good focal point. I would not have cropped as tight at the top; I would have left the mountain top in and I would have cropped more from the bottom. I would have lightened the stones on the shore. May 5th
50 May 18 Comment I prefer the colour version. The road leads us into the picture but then I think that the image is lacking a focal point. I like the sky. I have no suggestions on how to improve the picture. May 5th
50 May 18 Comment Another outstanding still life Cindy. The only minor point I might consider is to clone out the stem as highlighted below.
I initially didn't realise it was the stem.

50 May 18 Comment A good action shot which I think is particularly suited to mono. You have caught the expressions on the 3 players faces at just the right time. I didn't notice the goal post shadow until I read Chuck's comment. You could consider adding more contrast and a vignette. May 4th
50 May 18 Comment I really like this image. Our eyes are taken from the bottom and follows the spiral to the centre. The toning and sharpness are perfect. I cannot suggest any improvements. May 4th
