71 Aug 19 Comment John, it is really a lovely shot. I love all those layers.
I think you did a great edit on this and the HDR isn't overdone. Good job.

71 Aug 19 Comment Almost a painting, Mike.
I agree with Gordon that perhaps darkening the foreground a tad might be nice.
I also wonder if cropping off the white clouds at the top left might be good so they don't draw my eye up and out of the shot.
This scene looks so pristine! I wondered how you could add more texture in the wood. It's a lovely capture and you positioned yourself in a great spot to get a great perspective that leads me into the shot, back, back and going for miles. Nice work.

71 Aug 19 Comment Yes, the colors are stunning! I loved my trip to Israel but it wasn't a photo trip so though I took lots of photos, none of them had cool lighting like this one does.
I think that's an interesting building. The bit on the right bothers me too as it draws my eye away from the subject with its detail. I'm also noticing the lacy shedlike structure on the left is "kissing" the edge of the photo. I think you could add some of the background on the left to keep it from barely touching, or crop a bit off on the left side. I'd hate to lose any detail so I'd probably want to add--content aware fill.
I think its nice to see some details in the building. Very nice travel shot and lucky you to be there.
I wondered if you shot anything standing more on the left side so you could move the sun more into the center?

71 Aug 19 Comment Very interesting viewpoint and shot. I like the two rocks. I must admit that at first I thought I was looking at a photo of an animal's paw!!!
It is a very unusual subject, the tip of a rock with falling water shot in the dark. I wonder if you had any horizontal images. I would love to see more from this shoot.
It does inspire me to try some experimental shots that I wouldn't have even thought of, so thanks for the inspiration.

71 Aug 19 Comment I like your last crop and edit the best. It works having two subjects centered. Sometimes rules need to be broken.
I wondered it it might be just as nice in sepia tone?

71 Aug 19 Comment It's a gorgeous image! I like the blue sky and don't find it too saturated for my taste. I might like to see a bit cropped on the right side, but not necessarily as much as John did. I like the dark clouds and LOVE those rays of light.
It's just pretty any which way.
Now that you are on the east coast when I submit at midnight it will be in the middle of the night to you.
