Thanks Nancie, when I went to print this photo I realized that the white at the top was there and drawing my eye. I cloned some and cropped some. I agree with you and nice job on your version. better. |

Thanks Mike, it definitely draws the eye, and so does that white cloud on the top right which I removed when I went to print the image. |

John, your walking and hard work paid off with a beautiful shot at the perfect time of evening. I have read about tilt shift for years but really haven't been able to figure out when to use one. I thought they were used to make things look like miniatures. This is a different use than I knew of.
I would like to see just a bit more blue sky on the top as the spire on top looks a bit too close to the edge. An easy fix with changing canvas size and doing content aware fill. but maybe you already made the decision to crop it this way after seeing it differently. Well done, lovely photo. |

Very stunning! What have you done to Mike? Riotous color.
It's gorgeous, but I keep wondering if a crop on the sides or a crop on the top would enhance it. Maybe just cropping the right side closer to that first snowy peak, actually the dip between that snowy peak and the one to the right of it.
Love this shot.

Looks like a beautiful day for you. I like the creamy water. I have no clue about banding. I kind of like the grasses but do think this could have been focused differently. What I mean is:
the grass is interesting by itself, or maybe also with rocks.
The water and rocks are interesting all by themselves.
The land at the top is distracting me from the rocks and lovely water.
I guess I'm saying, move your feet and try a bunch more options. I think you did a great job with the ND filter here. |

What a gorgeous job you did on this! I love the slanting line of the bad lands leading me into that soft sky. i was surprised it was only 1/5 of a second too.
I bought a Nikon Z-7 camera but haven't used it too much yet as I miss my big zoom. I know I can use it but its more work and makes it front heavy. I think the Z6 might have been a better choice for me to get as it lets more light in with larger (fewer) megapixels. Impulsive purchase.
Love your color choices. Agree it's worth a wall!
And welcome to our group |

I think this crop is too tight! When I opened your picture I said "wow!" I didn't notice the light rocks until I read the other comments. I did notice the gorgeous golden light on the rocks and the vibrant blue of the water. i also loved your triangular composition. I loved your composition. I would just burn the rocks on the right side down a bit to take the focus away from them. But this last crop is too tight on the right side, it crowds the rock and leaves a tiny light sliver, not good. Good job. Stunning I think |

Great colors and exposure on this lovely photo.
I wondered about a more square image,or not square but not as wide angle. The tallest mountains in the middle and to the right of that large cut.
For me this emphasizes the peaks' drama. But I know you wanted to show as many as possible but for me seeing just the most dramatic ones has a large impact. |
