Lovely clarity and colors on this. It's interesting to me that the comments on the smoothing of the water. There is so much texture on the mountains and the trees and bushes that I can see that the texture on the water is a bit distracting. That surprises me because I'm not sure I would have noticed that if Marla hadn't commented on it. Another place that I need to visit some day. I didn't know it was the Switzerland of California!
Nice job, quite lovely. And great time of year to visit this |

Well, I just exclamed "OH!" when this popped up. I didn't know this was in Idaho. Much closer to me than Colorado or New Mexico for driving next fall!
Let's see, what could be even better? Not sure but the tree on the right without leaves does draw my eye as it has so much interest different than the heard of similar sized objects, the sheep. Or, the line of similar yellow trees. Maybe a slight vignetting would darken the corners and keep me in the center. the top left corner IS darker but the other corners are bright. A really lovely image. |

wow Marla, you take us swimming with the fishes!!
I love love love snorkeling too! And its hard to get what you are trying for but so much fun to be under the water seeing a beautiful new world. I miss my trips to Hawaii since we retired and have less traveling money.
I follow the little fish on the left into the picture and pick up the other fish. It does lead me to the left and away from the greenery on the right, but I come back to them because everything is interesting. |

Welcome to our group. I haven't experienced your style before so harder to define changes when you have a strong point of view about this.
I love the way the path curves upwards, and agree with Mike it might be nice to follow the path more centrally. I don't agree with the soft focus as I was thinking you could actually soften it more than this for a dreamy look. Perhaps a layer of blur that is semi-transparent like an overlay.
I do think you could bring more definition to those clouds as they are a large part of the charm of this shot. ND filter or dehaze, though dehaze can change all your colors and saturate them more than it sounds like you want. |

This is definitely a WOW shot, lucky you! But there you were out there shooting before sunrise so not so much luck as good working on it.
I love the birds, all of them as they add interest and move my eyes around the image. I love the whole thing. I think you could crop a bit off the top, but if not it still is super great. I wouldn't like a verticle on this as I love the way the bright sun and reflection gradually disapear into the dark blue, plus I love those sharp birds. |

I think this image is stunning! I love the gold trees leading me up to the huge blue mountains. I don't mind the bright fields as they start my journey upwards. It looks like a lot of great detail in the sky already.
Any crop you do would be beautiful as this is beautiful every way i look at it.
I'm pretty obsessed with that golden line of trees making an S curve upwards, gorgeous. |
