Thanks, I played with it quite a bit and am not sure I can get it lighter, though I think I lightened it when I printed it. This one does seem darker. |

What a profusion of wings, and sharp focus on the flying birds.
Great to get to go back and shoot with more know-how and even better equipment. There is so much learning in getting "do overs"
I would love to see the Sand-hill cranes in focus as they are up front in the foreground. With you new camera you certainly can increase your ISO and speed. And a smaller aperture would make more in focus. Especially since the background is just sky, so no need for blurring it.
It will be interesting if you and Nancie meet up for this in january.

Beautiful capture, and I don't think I ever would have thought to do it HDR. I actually like photo number 2, cropping out the left bird and cutting out the sky. the light on the foliage really stands out for me in this one. The panorama looses me as it draws me straight OUT of the picture.
I would darken the right side a bit, a slight vignette on the ducks as their brightness helps draw me out on the right side. I see the water is darker, but the bright white spots lead me out. This is really lovely. |

Wow! So when is our next field trip, group?
This blew me away! Simply stunning. I did think you must have added a color filter but you didn't say so, so I don't know. I loved it anyway. I see what Mike was saying about the glow on the top of the poles, and I know they could be natural or artificial. I had an image graded down due to light streaks above a night shot of a bridge, but when I went back to the raw capture it was still there--car headlights, not over processing by me. And the poles might be lighter on top where the sun hits and bounces off here.
I probably wouldn't change anything myself, it looks great on my screen. |

The purple and gold complementary color scheme is very nice, and I always like clouds that add to the sky. A 600mm lens will definitely get you closer, but only get part of this mountain. Though that would probably look great of the highest peaks here. What a vibrant foreground.
I did like what Marla did too, and now I have to go find some tutorials on the adjustment brush in Camera Raw! |

I like what you added to this Marla, I've never used the adjustment brush in ACR, but need to figure it out since I always want to add SELECTIVE adjustments. |
