What a serene location to be in. Beautiful. I wanted to see some vignetting on the top and bottom of the image to draw they eyes into the spires in the center. A bit of darkening the top and bottom would bring out more sky and sky reflection detail. A neutral density filter in post processing could drop down and do this for you too. If there was more depth of color like I suggest, the bright colors wouldn't necessarily "pop" so much, I think. |

A scene from a Western movie! I find a lot of interest exploring this image, Mike. The cattle, the lone rider on the far right, and the hills and sky. I think if you could bring out the hills and rain a bit it could be more dramatic even. A neutral density filter in post processing would do that. I think then the figures would be part of the interest going upwards to the sky. |

Lovely. I see that florescent green sign in the original was definitely the focal point of the photo before you removed it! Good job on removing elements. OK, to make this even stronger for my eye I would like to see that beautiful cloud moved to the left a bit, and crop off some on the right side of the photo. I don't think the terrain on the right adds value, but the cloud is the star of the show. I like the road leading us up too, very nice, and the cut through the red rocks frames it. The sun and clouds have a mind of their own, maybe Virginia can move your sun over!! :-) I have never moved my clouds over myself but now, after seeing everyone's images, I'm thinking about it myself. Hummmm |

Wow cool! I want to do that with skies sometimes but haven't tried it yet. This has nice uncomplicated lines to use for that. Super job on the sky replacement. I like the sky but/and think the color balance on the grain elevator is too cool, and that makes us feel that something is off. I think you need to warm the color up. Being careful that the colors still work together so we still won't know this is a composite. You might even try doing a Photoshop/layers/blending mode to unify the image and change the color. |

Oh, I definitely like that you included it all. my eye enters up the terraces and explores the village and wanders into the clouds and comes back to the terraces. I think your movement for the eyes is great. I was envious that you were there to see this and happy that you shared it with us.
I was wanting to see a little sharper lines in the terrace, but then realized the fog and mist were effecting the color, so I guess that wouldn't be right to make it sharper.
It's a beautiful image, nicely done. (Too bad so many great shots are taken at SUNRISE when I'd rather be in my bed!!) |

That's a beautiful sky, and what a great idea to do a panorama with it. i like how the major sky drama is almost centered, giving this a nice place to enter the photo. i didn't even see the road til I read your blurb. So it really isn't adding anything good in this position. I would crop/leave it out and trust the stunning clouds to lead us into the shot. Or, I guess you have to go back hoping for equally great clouds and stand in the middle of that road to have it draw us in. Also, that bright yellow by the road draws the eye way over to the left and doesn't let us explore the scene nicely. And really, the clouds and mountain and foreground are really enough interest for a superb photo!!! |

I will try some of those changes, but I am afraid I will be so degrading the image that it will be too pixelated. This was shot pretty high ISO at sunset, so already compromised. |
