Jen, This is a nice image most people might have missed. The soft background helps to separate the cactus. I differ from Sharon... I would crop from the right side to over near the cactus to bring the cactus out of the center then darken the rocks a bit.

Albert, I really like this image but I see the clouds much as I did the clouds in Sharon's image being distracting from the beautiful scene. You did a great job with the bottom 2/3 of the image, well composed and great processing.

Sharon, I have to disagree. I feel the clouds distract from the rest of the scene. There is a lot of contrast in the mountains and lake and the clouds do not match that contrast. I would have no problem changing the clouds. If the viewer was not with you when you shot it they would not have to know. It's a work of art for me not recording exactly what you saw.
To me the composition is great as the lake leads your eye through the scene past the little town.

Very nice image. I agree with Jack, you have captured the dignity of the gentleman. The black and white version is much better to me as the color seems to distract from the main subject. The crop Jack suggests would be interesting and would draw the viewer more to the face.

John, sorry to hear that you are leaving us. I have enjoyed your images. You do great work.
Being from the south where it doesn't snow very often, your image appeals to me. The house is placed so it draws your eye to it. I would change nothing.

Jack, I like your image. The street connects the two towers and leads my eye to the mountain and then the sky. Nice composition. Good tonal range and sharp.
