71 Jul 18 Comment I wonder if there could have been a composition with just one of the trees dominating the image? My eyes keep going back and forth from one giant tree to the other. It took a minute for me to notice the hiker between them. You were very successful in conveying the huge size of the trees! Jul 9th
71 Jul 18 Comment This is appealing to me. I can imagine walking down this dirt road and skirting the water. I love the blue sky and cloud reflections. I think this is nicely composed with the road and water leading us into the photo. No suggestions. Jul 9th
71 Jul 18 Comment I think trying various exposures is a good idea. I often like the smooth look on waterfalls, but when it is especially forceful like this one, I like a little more detail to show that force. But this is entirely subjective!

71 Jul 18 Comment I wondered if I should remove that stick. I do like it better with it gone! Thanks.

71 Jul 18 Comment I like how you processed this. Burning out the buildings was a good decision, and I love the colors in your processed image. It isn't too saturated for my taste. The gold filter on the close water is a nice touch! Nice job and beautiful image! Jul 6th
71 Jul 18 Comment It appears you meant for the reeds to be the subject of this image, but my eyes are drawn past the reeds to the duck and I find myself wishing it were in focus also. I"m sure you shot it this way to emphasize the reeds and blur the background, but the duck would have been a compelling subject if you could have captured it in a break in the reeds. Jul 6th
71 Jul 18 Comment I love the Palouse! I believe your photo can stand alone as is along with buildings to show the sweep and size of the area. I also agree the other suggestions would make good images. The Palouse is very versatile for finding good compositions. I would suggest adding a bit more contrast to play up the light and dark elements of the image. Jul 6th
71 Jul 18 Comment You caught a beautiful rainbow in this iconic spot! Your timing must have been perfect and the polarizer did bring out the colors. When I saw this scene several years ago, I was impressed with how powerful this waterfall is. My personal preference would be to see more detail in the water to emphasize that power. But you are right to be happy with this image. Jul 6th
