The bright spot does look like it is clipped, but I just checked and it isn't. I think that might be where the sun was positioned behind the clouds. But I did try to darken it a bit and also got rid of the smug mark. Thanks for your comments!

Thanks, Nancie! That is high praise - not sure I deserve that! It may just be a phase, but doing ultra-wide angle shots from a low point of view is my favorite way to shoot right now.
I'm sorry I didn't notice the black spots until after I posted this. I believe it was from an edit mishap and I posted the wrong version of this image.

This is a very nice composition. I like your point of view with the water leading to the bridge. I have to admit those three ducks caught my attention right away! I wouldn't have thought to clone them, but that added just the right touch! I thought this was processed with HDR until I read your description. This is a beautiful image and very nicely procesed! |

This is a beautiful scene with lovely, soft light. The gold trees and reeds and the very dark areas give this a painterly feel. The tall tree with eagle perched at the top adds an element of surprise and interest to the photo. The mountains almost fade into the sky. I wonder if there could be a little more contrast there? This is a very calm, peaceful image. |

Good for you for rising early to catch the beautiful golden light on the canyon walls! I like this composition but I feel the colors need to be softened a bit. You are lucky to be traveling to Colorado and Utah. If you will be in Moab, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks are spectacular and you will have many great photo ops. Look for good light (morning and late afternoon) and dramatic skies are a plus. |

This is a dramatic scene and I like that you captured this during twilight. The colors, lights, and reflections add up to a fantastic image! I can't think of anything to improve it. |

This is a lovely image with good tones. I agree that the image appears to lack sharpness. I wonder if there was a breeze? With the slow shutter speeds, even a slight breeze could cause some ghosting when combining three images with HDR. I often find this when using HDR in scenes with leafy trees. You could try processing just one of the images - adjusting the tones with other methods - to see if you get a sharper image. This is a beautiful scene and I would love to be there!
