Good suggestions, Bob. Will try that. I had already toned down the sunlight on the floor and the right edge of the left pillar to bring more attention to the window. |

Thank you, Ricarda. I am so happy with the iPhone 14 that I've been using it exclusively. In fact I haven't had my Sony repaired yet. I know there are limitations if I want to do real, grown up photography instead of point and shoot, but I am having fun. In fact I googled "Abandoned in CA" and am now shooting urban decay here. |

Thank you, Peter. I forgot to add that I did quite a lot of post processing in PS to crop, straighten, adjust lighting, remove distractions, bring out texture and add a vignette. And yes, I am delighted with the quality of the iPhone pix. Haven't had my camera repaired yet.

How fortunate to capture this illusive flower, Ricarda. I, too, like the curve of the stem and agree with Gary on flipping the image and repositioning yourself to eliminate the whites in back. They could be removed in PS, and probably on LR, which I don't know. But this beautiful, unusual flower should certainly be entered in the nature category which wouldn't allow that modification. |

A beautiful bird captured with fine detail allowing us to appreciate the texture of his feathers and texture of his beak. Is that a cracker in his mouth? Well selected to add the effective black background which sets off his bright colors. Just little bits of white near where the yellow feathers meet the blue in front. I'm curious about the different colors on the top of his wing. Thank you for sharing Chicago's zoo and botanical garden for your wonderful bird and flower photos |

An apt title, Bob. Altho you don't show your settings, you have done well to get detail of the horse's veins and wrinkles with such a significant crop. Perhaps enhance the eye's catch light. Since the title is about the horse's teeth, I'm not bothered by the rider's being out of focus. The soft greenery and bokeh create a good backdrop. I would have added a tiny stroke to set it off but actually like the way it blends into the surrounding black. |

I like the composition, Peter. There seems to be a light haze around the structure. The Nik blue is an unusual, but pleasing choice. I also think sepia would give an aged look. Is it old? I'd like to know more about Longwood and the story of the tower. (Later) Just researched Longwood Gardens and learned It is one of the premier horticultural display gardens in the country. Beautiful structures, too. How fortunate that you now have a membership. |

This made me laugh, Lee Ann. Good for the curiosity that prompted you to investigate. Not only was it out of place in the park, who would have stored manikin there? You've done a good job "cleaning it up." Perhaps a more interesting sky. |

Well done, Peter. Their elegant, graceful dance positions create an interesting composition. I like the high key. Would like to see the feet on the right and perhaps a bit more feather detail on the back end of the right bird. I don't see a difference between your "original" and the main image. It does feel like a Japanese ink painting. I would also have liked to see them with their red crowns, which research shows me are very small. Good capture. |
