Kudos, Howard. I have never seen such detail on a butterfly. Agree with Bob about its perch and with Bob's comment about the colored patch in the background. Definitely a nit: some texture or noise at the side edges. . . easily remedied. |

Both dynamic and serene. The dynamism would be increased by flipping your image horizontally. |

I like that you caught the bee, its colors echoing the flower's. Nice composition, focus and D of F. I am recently interested in the value of negative space so appreciate the way your flower is heading into it. I agree with Howard re the stem, but if you remove it, I would recommend removing its shadow as well. |

Subhash, the lighting and the detail on the cub's face are wonderful! The shallow D of F helps focus the eye there. I think your crop is effective and like Howard's too, but with less removed from the top. |

Well done, Peter! A beautiful, sweet image and informative story. Wonderful D of F.
Mom has very interesting eyes, possibly telling you to stay away? |

What a magnificent building! Well-captured and post processed, both on your part and Affinity's. Slight grain in the sky? The curved horizontal lines don't bother me. I have joined an architecture SIG, Special Interest Group, at our club. Would that we had such subjects in California. Want to photograph these magnificent, old buildings, but who knows when we'll be able to travel again with the recent uptick in Covid. |

Stan, I agree with Shirley. This is much better as a monochrome. I'm surprised the blue bridge came out so light, or did you tweak it? I like the framing and texture of the trees, the scale indicated by the people, and the flowing lines of the sand and water. A striking image. |

It's all been said re the depth, detail, and position of your vanishing point. Wonderful opportunity. Wonderful monochrome image. |

I, too, find the bare branches on the left distracting. If you had moved a bit to the right and gotten the lighthouse centered between fronds, I believe you could have done without the left portion. (However, a tighter shot of the lower portion of those trees on the left with their "arms" reaching out would be an interesting study.) |

The foreground rocks add depth and anchor the image. The large, flat one echos the shape just above the rivulet of water (like an animal with the water coming from its mouth) tho a bit of darkening would keep it from dominating the image. I like the many textures and the fact that your longish exposure gave substance to the trickle of water. Well seen and sharp throughout. Well done. |

Jerry, I like the palette of the original. Initially I thought the B&W was a composite, perhaps of stalactites over a three tiered landscape. Very puzzling, it holds my attention as I look around the image at the various patterns and textures. |
