Thank you, Bob. I didn't realize this was not straight. Your slight rotation definitely improves the image. |

Enlarging the image. Today I came back and enlarged the image. Love the detail around the eye. |

I, too, appreciate the leading lines as well as the golden color repeated throughout tying it all together. The grass seems unnaturally green. Is the brown structure part of the roof or something projecting from the mountain? |

I like to contrast of your B&W version. You have done well in post, the snow appearing to have detail. I would crop out about 2/3 of the sky (and dust spots) which distracts me from your subject. Good to see landscapes our travels are still limited. |

What a sweet, little bird. Tho we have redwings near-bye I don't think I've ever seen a chick. How long was your lens? Especially considering the extensive cropping, you have wonderful detail of its feathers and a well-muted background. |

I like their positions and the interestingly shaped negative spaces. The sky appears blue at the sides and grey in the middle with perhaps an artifact or dust spot. What was your shutter speed? You certainly captured a decisive moment. |

Wonderful capture of a handsome bird and his reflection. Does he always have that do, or is it mating plumage? Good detail even in the blacks and whites. The patterns in the water echo the detail of his wing feathers. Well done. |

You've been here to N CA! Did you fly? Tahoe is a terrific place to celebrate freedom from the year of isolation. Hoping to get there soon myself. I like the dark foreground framing the lake and snow capped mountains in the background but would like to see a bit of detail. Serenity in nature. |

Right. I haven't posted it b/c I want to get rid of the key stoning w/o making it squatty. |

Maybe what I need is a perspective adjustment instead of lens correction.
In making my May image for group 37, I find that skewing makes the building look too squat, and lens correction doesn't eliminate the key stoning. (It's a very recognizable building, so changing the proportions would be evident, especially if I submitted it to my club.) Any suggestions? |

Yes, cropping the top would force the eye to the depth instead of the height. I hadn't thought of that when I ADDED space to the top b/c I thought it was too crowded. |

I chose to keep the key stoning. See my reply to Stephen. |

Ah, yes. A Hollywood set! It didn't in its original Yellow-gold color, but in the monochrome, I agree. |

Thank you Stephen. In photos and movies, photographing from a low angle, as evidenced by this key stoning, makes the object appear heroic. So I liked it in this image. I have used skew to straighten, especially in architectural photos. However, sometimes I have gotten distortion or curves. Never knew of "lens correction." Where is that in PS? |

Interesting and unique study of a rose. You have certainly expanded our understanding of monochrome. |

The beautiful color version doesn't look like an abstract. I can readily identify it. The monochrome is harder for me to read/identify. I would like it without the base, so it would become a fascinating abstract. Is that more clearly stated? |

You certainly captured the atmosphere of the fog. I like Stuart's letterbox version for either the monochrome or the original. On your cropped version, I would crop even farther. I think eliminating the sky would pull my attention to the ice house and the receding layers of fog. |

Absent the base, the monochrome is a fascinating, unidentifiable, abstract to me. In the color original, I can more readily identify what it is and like the color palette. Amazing phone! |

I agree that the movement of the bronco's legs and tail is good causing the viewer to focus on the rider. I wish it weren't cropped so tightly. Terrific action shot, especially considering the conditions. |

Wonderful image with full tonal range. I wouldn't change a thing. I've never wanted to cruise, but the color version makes me want to do so. Beautiful. |
