Is that ice near the shoreline? The sweeping lines within the reflection don't appeal to me in what would otherwise be a lovely, cold, wintery-looking landscape. |

I like your image, contrasting shapes and sizes as well as my favorite colors. Did you amp up the color of the chairs? I like Stephen's adjustment. A member of our club had a red chair which he transported to various location either in his car or by inserting it into various scenes using PS. He produced a book of 100 images. |

A beautiful sunrise, Subhash. Of course the humorous, sharply focused boat (adding tension by facing out of the image) is what I see first, then the very soft, serene, reflected shoreline receding into layers. The repeating portions of contrasting blue and yellow-orange complete a very effective image. |

I really like this, Peter. Your shutter speed was perfect. A lot of experimenting to get it right? Yes the autumn color contrasting with the water adds a lot. But I especially like the complexity of the falls. So much detail to enjoy in the varied sections: the solid sheeting on the left and the greenery showing behind the rivulets on the right portion, which, BTW, reminds me of a tiered wedding cake. |

Well, it was a single judge, a woman, and a Creative competition, so I had high hopes. But you were right, it got nada. Consolation, tho, b/c my other image got Creative of the month. |

Thank you, Stan. I'd love to know what your daughter says, a woman's opinion. We will have a female judge at our club tomorrow. I'll see whether it resonates with her. |

I like it, too, Stuart, especially with the silhouetted driver and extra vignette.
Good capture. Fortunate that you were upwind, tho I guess the 195mm helped. Thank you for the detailed explanation of how you did it. |

An interesting project, to travel to the location of an historic image and document its change, not to create a work of art. I didn't recognize the place. Needed to see the original to appreciate what you were doing. The big cross anchors Evans' original. I wonder why it was removed. |

I really like the majesty of the rock formation dwarfing mankind's impermanent structure. The clouds add drama. I, too, would crop some from the bottom. Is this in Arizona? |

I really like the original.. I think the window is the subject and agree with John and Don that it doesn't stand out in the monochrome revision. I think Stuart's rendition helps focus the eye on the window while retaining the textural elements you liked. |

Recenly I had commented that with millions of people doing photography, everything has been done. But this particular result from camera motion is unique and pleasing. Each pattern is slightly different. I especially like the interplay of lines on the top portion. Pleasing result from a technique which never works for me. |

John, your original is beautiful. The slight sepia tone and grain give it an aged look. Where on NIK do you find the latter? |

Biden. RBG was a liberal voice on the Supreme Ct. Traditionally with the election so soon, this would have waited for the new President. However within a week of RBG's death, Trump appointed a very young, ultra conservative woman. She was sworn in b/4 the election., making it 6 to 3, conservative justices. These are lifetime appointments, so she will change the tenor of the Ct for decades to come. |

You're right: it is culturally American. I suspect it might fare better in a group of women, even Brits. Would your daughter understand it? The phrase in larger font, which RBG dictated to her niece shortly before dying, is, "It is my most fervent wish that I will not be replaced until a new President is installed." |

To me they relate. They are all comments by Ruth Bader Ginsberg, at least one in Supreme Court decisions. Apparently they and her iconic collars aren't familiar to everybody. |

Sorry you didn't get it. The graphic represents the collars Ruth Bader Ginsberg always wore over her judicial robes, and the text consists of famous phrases of hers. |
