34 Sep 20 Comment What a creative idea, Denise, to put the gull inside and the pelican out! Clean, simple and graphic. How often have we all looked thru a plane's window yet never thought of using its edge as a picture frame? Love it! Sep 14th

37 Sep 20 Comment First, Ham, I appreciate that you really study our images, consider many aspects, and give thought full critiques. Your saltmarsh grew on me. It is mysterious with its golden sun-lighting, fog, and ambiguous horizon line. The form in front is mysterious, too, and is a necessary feature to the composition. Sep 24th
37 Sep 20 Comment Love the colors in the glasses, Peter! I would have preferred an image without the crumbly cake, tho it would have been less complex and not told the story. I, too, just got an iPhone 11 specifically for the DofF capability of the portrait mode tho mine only goes to 5x magnification, and I suspect yours does more? Sep 24th
37 Sep 20 Comment This beautiful image invites me to learn about the Arti ceremony. Isn't that what good journalism shots do.. .cause the curious to learn more about the subject. After seeing the previous discussion, I also want to research the city's architecture. Sep 23rd
37 Sep 20 Comment You have perfectly captured the puffin's distinctive markings in wonderful, sharp detail. I love their unique habit of carrying all those little fish, sardines? Also his contrast with the smooth water and even the reflection. Well done! I'm sure you are entering it in Nature. This could be an illustration in a bird book. Sep 23rd
37 Sep 20 Comment Very effective use of HDR to get detail everywhere without being over the top. Love the complementary colors with the flames reaching into the image and just a bit in the water. I don't think you need the front grass to anchor the image. Initially thought you could crop out the left third, but it's necessary for balance. Looks like a Japanese area of the garden? Exquisite. Would like to visit on our next trip to Chicago, which wilI not be in October as originally planned. Sep 6th
