34 Nov 19 Reply Interesting suggestion, Jason. I could probably achieve the same by moving him a tad to the right, onto the darker portion of the path. Thanks for visiting. Nov 7th
34 Nov 19 Reply Thank you, Alan. I agree about the brightness of his robe. As I look at this, I realize that, with the same title, it could also be a stylized Tree of Life. I'd change the robe and hat to white. Nov 5th
34 Nov 19 Comment Steve, I love this! I would applaud any change from your goths, but this is really beautiful: the elements you've chosen and positioned, the moody sky, the grass on the pews, the complementary colors, the sheep among the geometric elements (with one looking directly toward us,) the way you've composited, and the story of the church. Beautiful. Nov 1st

37 Nov 19 Reply Thank you, Gunter. My intention was to make it high key. I seem to have missed the mark as evidenced by comments here and at my club. Nov 19th
37 Nov 19 Comment A restful scene, but perhaps the whole thing could be brighter without blowing out the sky, or by using a gradient.
My eyes move back and forth from the lovely sky to the boat. Could you have moved to the left to capture it more directly beneath the bright clouds ? Or, if it wasn't anchored, perhaps you could have waited for better alignment.

37 Nov 19 Comment I like the shallow depth of field, the variety of textures, the autumnal coloring. Interesting subject, and I'm glad you were able to capture a portrait of her looking intensely off camera rather than directly at you. Was this a candid shot? Her eyes are nicely sharp; could you add catch lights? Nov 6th
37 Nov 19 Comment The succulent in the foreground nicely repeats the color of the shipping containers and complements the colors of the rocks and sand. Everything is in sharp focus. That said, I wouldn't have photographed shipping containers transformed into a restaurant when its feature is views of San Francisco Bay and the city's skyline, a site for beautiful sunset shots. I hope the food was good. Nov 6th
37 Nov 19 Comment I like the simplicity and am drawn back into the clouds. Tho I usually like a dark vignette, the white is effective here with the aged look of the sepia. Perhaps crop a bit off the top. Nov 6th

54 Nov 19 Comment So characteristically yours, recognizable without your name. Lots of work here with a result that prompts much speculation and attention to the many elements while still hanging together as a unified image. Where are the mountains? Nov 5th
