How to send them just to you? They're not for posting for the group. |

Thanks again, Jan. Have done four now. The hardest part is creating shadows when the direction of the light source differs. If I'm still not happy with one, I'll submit another abstract and keep experimenting for Aug. |

Jan, I took your suggestion and tried just combining any two pix.
Did three. None is in a finished form, worthy of posting, so I may just send in another abstract for July. But the exercise was kinda liberating.

Thank you, Jan, for your encouragement. As a matter of fact, I've been in the group for 2 1/2 years. Still struggling to find what goes together. Love your suggestion of working on any two random images. It's definitely a place to start.

Jan, your imagination takes your work so far beyond my struggle to merely find images that might go together. Love your skill and sense of humor, too. This is brilliant! |

Denise, this is a striking twirl with lovely colors. This has serenity but with the addition of an electrical charge at the center. The results of this procedure are always a surprise. BTW, I empathize with you and your computer problems. |

Georgianne, I love the way you have combined the beautiful horse with antique objects of the site. The darkness ads drama and mystery making me wonder where he's come been, while the golden tones make him mythical. Congratulations on a most successful image and thank you for your detailed description. |

To me, the black line around the moon gives it depth. I really like your selection of images to combine. (Always a challenge for me.) A very sweet, heartwarming moment successfully created. |

Steve, I second Jan's comments. Hard for me to look at this, but you have made photographic improvements/. |

A fun image. I struggle to find images to use together for a composite. These are effective with pretty results. I would remove the stem entirely. |

I like the detail of the bird's feathers and especially the use of motion blur soon the background. New to me. Would not have noticed the change in wing structure without Grace's mentioning it. This disqualifies it from Nature competitions, but not as a strong image. |

The color you've added makes this scene into a lovely graphic, even if I could not recognize the buildings. The darkness and the screen thru which you're viewing add mystery. |

You have captured interesting patterns in nature with a full range of tones. This exemplifies why B&W images are still my favorites.

My initial reaction was joy, There is humor in the second bird which seems to be running on the water to catch up. The colors of the lagoon and the birds add to its lightness. Very sharp for a drastically cropped image. I, too, would flip it vertically. |
