Joe, I like these curiously arranged windows and doors to nowhere. When you showed it at the club, I thought: that remind me of something. Finally I've got it! Especially if I squint so that the bricks blend, I see Gustav Klimt's "Adele Block-Baur," commonly know as The Woman in Gold, or possibly his "The Kiss." |

So clever. So cute. She looks delighted and delightful. I can add nothing to what's already been said.

I like the way you've brought out delicate pink which I couldn't even see in the original. Wonderful detail on the center pod, and I like Steve's treatment of the brightness on the right. Beautiful treatment of a beautiful subject. |

Jan, this image defines "creative." Hats off to you for each month challenging yourself with something entirely different. |

I agree with all the above, Candy. Especially like the texture of the feathers and the dreamy effect of the monotone treatment with minimal background. To me she looks like a woman posing in an elegant fur with her feet in, perhaps, fifth position. |

Steve, I, too like the background you developed. The three characters on the left and the one on the right are most convincingly composited. The white-haired women look unnatural (even in the original.) I will try Candy's suggestion for blurring crisp edges on selections. I agree that shadows would anchor everybody.
You are lucky to have all of these characters locally as well as clever and patient to collect them into one scene. |

That's terrific, Steve. I wanna submit to the club as my own! |

Unusually natural looking for HDR, the tonal range of the almost monochromatic buildings is nicely contrasted by the rich colors of the natural elements. I, too, would crop off the bright grass at the bottom and some of the sky. Beautiful image. |

Peter, I've seen a lot of images of birds at wildlife refuges, but never one with the distant ones blurred in flight like this. Along with the movement of the main subjects' wings, it creates a dreamy, ethereal image in my opinion. Altho for a Nature competition, you can't create sharper eyes, I would do so in PS and hang it on my wall, after cropping off the white bottom. |

I think this is remarkable for your first attempt at fireworks photography. You captured a lovely composition with varied colors and interesting textures. I like the little row of distant lights (and people?) at the bottom, not usually seen in fireworks photos, but I'd crop out the grey line beneath. |

Subhash, initially I, too, would have preferred this cropped more closely to emphasize the lion. But I see your point about wanting her in a large swath of her environment. I would, however, darken the tree which I feel draws attention away from the lion. |

Yes, Jim. I believe it's always open. I went in late at night, but no photography allowed. |

A very clever idea well executed, Lisa. Please explain how you did the eyes and the little figures around them. Not familiar with park. Also, I see that last month you made them with marquee, but what did you use for the lashes and iris? Thanks. We are so fortunate to have this community with which to share and learn! |
