15 Oct 18 Comment Don't know why this "did nothing" at the club, Joan. It is a BEAUTIFUL rendition of an often photographed site. Oct 28th

34 Oct 18 Comment Clever as usual, Steve. Your blurs on ea subj are too subtle for me. I like the entry into the water of feet of the left fellow. The backward-leaning postures of the fellows in the original seem unreal, gravity-defying. Likewise, that makes their jumping over the falls unconvincing. Oct 28th
34 Oct 18 Comment A well composited Halloween image, Jan. I especially like original #1, the beautiful Yellowstone sunset photo. Oct 28th
34 Oct 18 Comment You began with a fascinating subject and skillfully made it symmetrical and beautiful. It looks like glass.
Thanks for the instructions. A lot to learn from here, more understandable and approchable than other procedures I've seen on our site. How did you get rid of the dark triangle on the upper right? Will look for the "color negative preset," to learn how you achieved the very effective red. Which step reversed the darks and lights?

34 Oct 18 Comment What imagination to even think of creating a head from the coconut. I especially applaud your success incorporating the eyes. Oct 28th
34 Oct 18 Reply Thanks, Phil. As you might be able to see, I did burn them in a bit. Perhaps more. Oct 8th

37 Oct 18 Reply Thank you, Grace. Good suggestion. Oct 31st
37 Oct 18 Comment Nice DOF and color contrast. The composition brings me right to the intended flower. Lovely.

37 Oct 18 Comment Good, sharp capture. He does look distressed, not just the ruffled feathers, but his face, too. Or do they always look like that? I like the repetition of his colors in the rock as well as the neutral background of the sky. . . .with more subtle vignetting. Oct 28th
37 Oct 18 Comment Yes, light, airy, fragile and naturally informal, as you intended. The free floating seeds made me think, initially, that they were laid on a light box. Impossible, with the water bottle. Would have liked to see the flower parts to which the seeds were attached. Oct 28th
37 Oct 18 Comment I think the emphasis on the figure in the sunlight as opposed to the darkness of the flags and hillside was probably intentional. Lightening the flags would accentuate them and create competing areas of interest. I do, however wonder about the purpose of the flags. A more explanatory title would help. Yes, lose the water bottle. Oct 28th
37 Oct 18 Comment Good PJ photo. The spray enhances the action, and I, too, agree with the animal rights groups. Am I imagining that the white horse looks terrified? Oct 28th
37 Oct 18 Reply Thank you, Jim. You seem to be in the minority. I recruited the lady in orange to walk toward me, but the others think she is a distraction. As I said to Gunter, I went to photograph the architecture. She was a bonus, but now I wish I'd at least have taken SOME without people. Oct 23rd
37 Oct 18 Comment Thank you, Gunter. I live in San Francisco, and this museum was my major reason for going toMilwaukee. I managed to get people into each shot and now regret that, wishing I had some clean images of just the architecture. I wish it were nearby for a re-do. Unfortunately, I'm not likely I'll get there anytime soon. Oct 7th
