Thank you, Georgianne. After submitting my image labeled as it is, I realized that Elliot would have just fogged his image in the mirror, not himself. Expected someone in the group to catch that. So I may resubmit it that way at the club. However, it did very well at a Pictorial judging despite the fact that the judge didn't like the effect of the filter on Elliot's skin and suggested I submit it w/o any filter at all. (But it's as is b/c I had originally made it for this Creative group.) |

Good suggestion re the "Bell." I agree.
Will try to figure out how to convert my image to 8 bits. Not very technical here.

Lots of effective (and I assume) patient use of many filters here, Georgianne. I really like the stained glass effect, the leaded lines around the various pieces. I would probably prefer it less busy. . . less texture/detail in each piece. |

Very clever, Phil. It is simple and striking and well-titled. I like the contrasting colors, the sharp detail of the onion skin, and the way it subtlely reappears in the "orbit." |

I like the beautiful coloring of the waves and backwash contrasting with the blue sky, as well as your placement of all the components. Wouldn't change anything.

OK. Got it. Now I see the nodule on it. Perhaps if it were shortened, I'd realize sooner what it is, and it wouldn't lead my eye out of the picture.

A very clever idea, well executed, Candy. I see lips where the spines of the feathers cross. |

This is lovely, Jan. Well composed arrangement of old timey objects, especially the sentimental inclusion of Grandpa's glasses. I like the slight bit of oil painting and the Poster Edges, which BTW is another of the filters which disappeared when I updated PS. The restrained application of Glamor Glo does give a "Vintage" look. The subtle look of the background printing ties it all together. The only thing I would change is to delete the electrical cord. |

You certainly clicked at the right instant, Grace. Was your camera set to take a burst of quick, multiple, images? With its detail on the bird and its habitat, this would certainly have been a Nature winner. Unfortunate about the blue bottle cap. |

Good depth of field and sharp detail on the butterfly's body. I hope you also took a picture of the beautiful pastel berries, also sharp and dewy, worthy of their own, solo picture. |

Beautiful ice patterns, Gunter. It kept me looking long enuf to see details: a wee Mt Fuji and what looks like a snow-capped acorn in front. Also curious as to the little lady-bug or berry bit of red toward the top. But I agree with Subhash to crop it, just below the latter. This would retain the footprints making the black and white portions equal and make the ice patterns the focal point. |

Another I-want-to-be-there nature image, Jim. Well seen and well processed. Especially striking in monochrome. |

Clean and uncluttered, Subhash. Keeps me looking at the subtle patterns in the water and sand. Steve Estill in Group 34 began his creative composite with a similar image this month. |

Yes, spectacular. I have never seen the aurora and doubt that I would see one as spectacular as this. It does look like she's dancing. Congratulations on being in the right place at the right time and capturing it. Thanks, too, for sharing!
