34 Mar 18 Comment I like what you've done here, Jan. At first it looked like somebody walking between sky scrapers, but the edges are much softer. Love your subtlety with the cobbles. Yes, the light at the end of a beautiful, autumnal journey. Mar 15th

37 Mar 18 Comment Love this, Howard. I like circular stairways and here the designer's placement of an oriental carpet's boda at the bottom to echo the stairway's curves.
As for your photography, I can never get the entire top into the frame. I guess an 18mm fish eye lens is the answer. I don't mind the cropping of the closest portion of railing. It's sharp throughout, and I like the the sepia toning, which adds a feeling of age. In an effort to learn the hotel was built??? I found that there is a wealth of historically significant buildings to photograph there. . .far more than those seen from the boat tour. Worth a photography extension after a nearby reunion. 37 Mar 18 Comment Amazing for a first attempt, Gunter! Love the detail on the feathers and his fierce expression. They definitely have my attention, not the background. Don't know whether there was an opportunity to select your background as he flew past. (This is part of the reason that I don't shoot birds, or much of anything that's moving.) I'd feel lucky to capture him at all. Mar 18th

At the suggestion of one of our judges, we have made our pictures available for them to see on our website beforehand. This gives them an opportunity to reflect upon each so they don't go in cold and have only a minute with each at the meeting. We think it's a good system, tho some don't have or make the time to do this.		 Mar 18th
