I agree with enlarging the bird, like the god rays and wonder how you created them. I don't have Topaz. Is this one of its effects? |

Georgianne, by adding your niece you've added your own creativity to an already creative project. I think her face could have been larger, but I do I like the light leading lines. |

Phil, I especially like the other-worldly glow of original 3 and your new version above. |

With your skillful post processing, you have made her beautiful, Candy! Congratulations on seeing her potential. I, too, like the way your neutral, dark background compliments her black clothing and especially her now lovely face. |

I love what you've done here. Does "challenged" mean you, yourself, set a goal, or that the city fathers requested it? In any case, I think this image should be used to promote your town. Of course, lots of work, some of which I don't understand. I had never seen "find edges" and thought it might have disappeared along with others of my faves like ink outlines and craquelure (sp) and others when I upgraded my PS. (How to reinstall them?) But I did find it. Will definitely try it b/c it created a lovely effect here. Along with your description, it gives a wonderful feeling for your town. I realize you're showing that the gulls and goths are important factors but agree that they are too prominent. I don't know whether it's because of their position, size, or treatment. In any case, this makes me want to visit Whitby. |

Your close crop emphasizes the elephant's size: a massive, magnificent animal. There's almost a 3D effect making him stand out from the image. Love the sharpness showing he texture of his skin, color on his tusks, even eyelashes. |

Nice composition, Gunter, and I, too, like the pastel of the flowers. I like the texture on the background but would have removed it from the flowers. |

Lovely, moody scene, well composed. Tho I expect to see snow whiter than even in Gunter's version, that might take away from the brilliance of the clouds and star. What was your f/stop? In Gunter's, I see the beginning of the star's reflection in the foreground. Or is it lens flare? On the right side is a bit of halo, from over sharpening or perhaps backlighting? In any case, I like the image and envy your opportunity to hike or ski into these areas and photograph these lovely scenes. They make me want to be there. |

Congratulations on the successful focus stacking, Peter. All sharp. Two people at my club have submitted pix from there, but not with your beautiful sunrise or sunset and the reflection. Going from the lower right, I feel the bubbles form a leading line leading me to the colorful background. |

I really like this, Subhash. I agree that the sand area could be brighter. Having the large object in the foreground like this is a goal of mine. Is there someone in your photo taking a photo? Also interesting to have somebody seemingly growing from the stump. Lots to look at. |

I agree with you, Jim. Will crop from the left, but not the top or bottom, before resubmitting it as Travel. |

Thanks, Gunter. It's as much about the pig, but I didn't put him in the title b/c I wondered whether y'all would overlook him at first, as I did. He's really a major, surprising, and puzzling part of the image. Only in Nova Scotia? |
