Georgianne, I really like your version. . . .a very effective use of the twist effect.

Of course you started with a fascinating subject. I didn't realize there were such such pretty, pleasing Goths. As I recall, none of your previous subjects were. You might have left it at that, tho I suppose it was "someone else's art." I like what you have done with the magic of post-processing by removing her background hair, adding the clouds and accentuating her features. |

Candy, you certainly accomplished your goal of highlighting the bud and muting the background. You've created a pleasing, compelling image. Good use of your many plug-ins. |

Ah, yes, peace on Earth, a wish to all. As a Californian I'm especially aware of the challenges we face in the upcoming year. How clever to save and use the naturally occurring letters. |

Very clever to recreate a childhood memory. Using a mirror as a light source as well as the colors, bodily proportions, soft glow around your head and path into the woods all tell your story well. Perhaps a bit of modification of the elbows?

A bright, colorful way to begin the new year. I like the flowers from layers 5 and 6 but would prefer the others muted as your Kaleidoscope is too busy for my taste. I do admire all the work you put into it.

This is beautiful, Phil! I like the change in color and that you've used a different textures on the flower than the background. I assume Adobe's paper texture . . . is from a plug in? Very striking, effective modifications giving a 3D result. |

I agree with the above comments on the reflections, cropping and positioning of the birds. I like Howard's enhancement of the ducks' details. Or, if they had not overlapped, they could have been completely silhouetted. |

Enviable bird shot, Howard. The detail of the feathers and reflections in his eyes are wonderful. I like the shallow depth of field, even that the lower part of the branch is out of focus but that the top offers a nice textural and color contrast to his monotone feathers. Does anybody else see a rodent's head on his beak? |

I like the complementary colors and reflections, Gunter. At first I didn't like the centered horizon and the lack of a focal point where my eye could light. However, after studying it, I realize there is a nice rhythm from left edge to the taller centered tree, then from there to the right. |

Another beautiful scenic, Jim. . . sharp from the grasses which anchor the foreground thru the peaks in the back. Beautiful color, textures and composition. I'd like it on my wall, too. |

Wonderful, Peter! I love the beautiful, silhouetted flock and agree with flipping the image horizontally. I, too, would add a narrow stroke but would use one of the golden tones. |

Jim, I'd like to see your B&W work.
The most successful ones have the entire grey scale, details in both the blacks and the whites. |
